Youth Leadership Professional Development Conference

On August 2, 2019, GLEAMNS YLP traveled to Columbia, SC to participate in the 2019 SCACAP 12th Statewide Youth Leadership Professional Development Conference. The event was held at Embassy Suites Columbia Greystone, and the theme was "empowering youth, families, and communities." Workshops encouraged students to "dream bigger" and to make sure they were "equipped" as leaders for the start of the school year. A Youth & Adult Panel took place as well for discussion on hot topics, such as teen pregnancy, school shootings, and bullying.
