Congratulations to Fitimia Sims, GLEAMNS Head Start Receptionist at Rikard - our October 2023
Employee of the Month!
Fitimia Sims has been with GLEAMNS for more than 5 years. She has served as the Rikard
Receptionist her entire tenure with the Agency and is responsible for greeting guest at the
center, answering the phones, and assisting the center staff with various administrative duties.
Lynn Williams, Center Coordinator at Rikard, wrote: This past year Rikard was faced with a
crisis after both of our case works resigned. Mrs. Sims jumped into action and refused to let
those odds keep us down. She learned all she could about the intake process and began the
road to achieving our enrollment goals. She has assisted me as we strived to meet our goal
of 60 students which has been done successfully. By her efforts we also have a waiting list of
21 students. She was also able to assist with hearing and visions to help reach our 45 day
deadlines with success. Mrs. Sims deserves this nomination because of her hard work and
willingness to go over and beyond her job duties as receptionist for the love of the Newberry
area children”.
Congratulations, Fitimia! Thank you for your dedication to the children and families we serve!
